Response: There is evidence from previous experimental studies or cross-sectional analyses in humans linking glucosamine and a variety potentially protective effects such as improving lipids, inhibiting inflammation, and mimic a low-carb diet.

Response: The main finding is that, habitual use of glucosamine supplements was related to a significantly reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.

Response: Glucosamine as a supplement may be protective on cardiovascular health.

Response: Further evidence from other prospective studies are needed to verify our findings; and investigations in clinical trials are particularly to demonstrate the causality.
