16 Feb VIP StarNetwork Expands Mobile Framework to Serve Difficult-to-Reach Communities
MedicalResearch.com Interview with:
Johonniuss Chemweno
CEO of VIPStarNetwork
MedicalResearch.com: What is the mission of VIP StarNetwork?
Response: VIP StarNetwork’s mission is to expand access to healthcare services and information, especially in underserved and underprivileged communities. Our comprehensive group of health experts, leading physicians, and healthcare executives are working to create a meaningful and safe environment to ensure that patients have equitable and streamlined access to vaccines and other forms of care.
Response: What types of services does VIP StarNetwork provide and with whom has it worked?
Response: VIP StarNetwork provides a variety of direct healthcare and safety services, including COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, to governments, community centers, film sets, sporting events, concerts, schools, and more. Our cutting-edge technology enables easy online access to health records, along with a patient-care model that matches patients to the right physicians and healthcare providers across the continuum of care.
MedicalResearch.com: How will VIP StarNetwork improve access to COVID-19 vaccines for New York and New Jersey’s young children?
Response: VIP StarNetwork is expanding its mobile framework to serve difficult-to-reach communities that lack access to education and insurance, which are key barriers to accessing healthcare. Our relationships with the government, the State of New York, and bordering states enhance our ability to serve patients from low to moderate income communities, while ensuring that we’re creating a higher level of healthcare by expanding access to COVID-19 vaccines for these populations.
MedicalResearch.com: What are the concerns parents have about vaccinating young children and how will you help address these issues?
Response: It’s really just education. By placing healthcare providers in communities that are underserved and underprivileged, we provide a resource for parents to ask the needed questions about the effectiveness and safety of COVID-19 vaccines. We also partner with local health departments and communities to conduct town halls and other types of forums to educate people about COVID-19 vaccines, amongst other options when it comes to accessing care.
MedicalResearch.com: Is there anything else you would like to add?
Response: VIP StarNetwork is preparing to expand its healthcare teams in anticipation of the FDA’s emergency use authorization of COVID-19 vaccines in children between 6 months through 4 years of age. We’re currently hiring an additional 300 healthcare professionals to bolster our ability to serve these patient populations across both New York and New Jersey, with anticipation of accelerating hiring across both the Northeast and Southeast regions.
