When a parent lives alone, a missed phone call can take on more meaning than it should. You know there are many ordinary reasons they may not answer. They could be outside, taking a nap, or talking to a neighbor. Still, the thought arrives: what if they fell and cannot reach the phone? Families often start shopping from that worried state. Search results quickly present pendants, watches, cameras, motion sensors, and monitoring subscriptions. The products look similar until you ask what each one detects, where it works, and who responds. A better place to start is with the family arrangement. Technology can support that arrangement, but it cannot decide what your parent is comfortable with or who will actually help after an alert.
